Abstract :
ABSTRACT: In order to investigate the osmopriming influence over Taram Hashemi Brand Rice sprout germination, broken down period in a quite sporadic form was designed and carried out with three recurrences of laboratory conditions in the year 2009. The time period for priming was consisted of (24, 48, and 72 hours) as the main factor and the priming solution was consisted of (potassium chloride 2%, potassium chloride 4%, potassium Nitrite 1%, and potassium Nitrite 2%, polyethylene Glycol 5%, polyethylene Glycol 10%, and without prime, taken into consideration as minor factor. The results showed a meaningful effect on the time period, and the priming solution over the speed of germination, the length of root, the length of the shoot, the height of the small plant, and the percentage of germination within 48 hours of priming were reached. Among the osmopriming treatment solution potassium Nitrite 2% had the most influence over the speed of germination, the length of root, the length of the shoot, the height of the small plant, and the percentage of germination. The Indexes of speed of germination, the length of root, the length of the shoot, the height of the small plant, and the percentage of germination from the standpoint of statistics were affected by the mutual influences of priming time x priming solution in the level of 1% probability. Therefore, with the view of the obtained results, the 48 hour priming times, and the potassium Nitrite 2% solution, were introduced as the suitable osmopriming treatment solution.
