Abstract :
ABSTRACT: Hymenocrater platystegius Rech. F. is exclusive to khorasan province in the North east part of Iran. Sampling was conducted from six habitats (Bazangan, Bezd, Bezgh, Golmakan, Kalat and Zoshk) of H. platystegius in Khorasan-e-Razavi province. The essential oil was extract by hydrodistilation of air- dried sample about 3.5 hours. GC-Mass analysis was performed by gas chromatograph equipped about 8 hours. For calculation results, was use of area percentage of retention time graph under temperatures programmed condition for n-Alkenes (C6-C24). The color of essential oil was pale yellow with sharp influent odor. The highest essential oil yield of Zoshk (2.3%) and the least of essential oil observed of Golmakan (0.045%). Between 64 components of essential oil composition, B-Caryophyllene, Spathulenol, phytol, Linalool, Heneicosane, Hexacosane and Eucalyptol had in Bezd (3.55, 2.18, 0.62, 0.0, 0.6, 0.18, 0.0 %), Bezgh (6.15, 2.28, 0.51, 0.0, 0.29, 0.94, 0.32%), Bazangan (3.16, 2.66, 0.85, 0.0, 0.12, 0.45, 0.0%), Zoshk (2.25, 2.69, 0.18, 3.08, 0.13, 0.53, 0.43%), Kalat (3.88, 2.12, 0.12, 4.14, 0.2, 0.2, 0.0%) and Golmakan (2.49, 2.27, 0.65, 0.0, 0.38, 2.06, 0.1%) respectively. Germaceren-D was observed in Bazangan (3.05%) and Kalat (2.25%) essential oil only.
