Comparison between application of PGPR bacteria and chemical fertilizers on quality and total silage yield of Maize under different organic seed bed

ABSTRACT: In order to investigate the effects of different soil enhancement fertilizers combine with PGPR an experiment was conducted in growing season of 2010. A split plot experiment based on randomized complete blocks design (RCBD) with four replications was followed in the study. Treatments were consisted of four different organic matter including (O1: Non Organic matter as a control treatment, O2: Filter cake, O3: Animal Manure and O4: Wheat straw) which fitted in the main plots and Three levels of Fertilizer (F1: control, F2: PGPR, F3: chemical N) as the sub plots. The highest value for total Ash was achieved in treatment of filter cake + chemical fertilizer (8.48) and control exhibited the lowest ash content (6.313) respectively. Results of this study showed that highest amount of silage was produced by application of chemical fertilizer (61.3) and the control treatment exhibited (28.04) which was the lowest silage yield among other treatments.
