Abstract :
Transformers must be monitored continuously and damaging discharge must be detected reliably too. Three important types of Partial Discharge (PD) defects that may occur in high voltage equipment are corona, surface discharges and discharges in the insulation cavities. These three signals are different in some attributes. In this paper we are looking for properties that are significant and distinguishing in comparison. Three different strategies will be used for achieving admissible results. It must be noted that for denoising, the wavelet functions will be used, based on two methods [2, 3].
