Abstract :
Self-defense is the right that allows an individual to commit a crime in order to protect himself, his property and honor and also to prevent aggression. This right is exceptional to the criminal responsibility of the committer. According to Islamic general penal law, crime is doing or refusing of an issue which has a punishment in the law. In this paper, the effects of self-defense in domestic and international legal affairs is investigated and it will be determined that how the extension and impacts of it can halt and reduce criminal behavior among individuals and can cause security in the society. Also it clarifies that how the use of weapons and forces can be legitimized.
