The Study of Factors Influencing on Effectiveness of Extension – Educational Activities of Extension Assistances in East Azerbaijan Province, Iran

The purpose of this study was to determine influencing factors on effectiveness of extension – educational activities of extension assistances. The studied population consisted of 156 extension assistances, which were selected using stratified random sampling method. The methodological approach of this study was correlative. Validity of the instrument was established by a panel of experts consisting of senior faculty members in agricultural extension and education department, and research committee advisors. Reliability analysis was conducted by using and Cronbach alpha formula and result was 0.87. The results showed that 28, 32.7 and 39.3 percent of extension assistances expressed that effectiveness of extension – educational activities were very little and little, moderate and good respectively. Also the results of the multiple regression analysis (stepwise method) revealed that the variables of garden Cultivation Area, dry farming Cultivation Area and knowledge of evaluation, explained a variation of 74.5% of the effectiveness of extension – educational activities by extension assistances.
