An overview of modern cryptography

Cryptography is the practice and study of hiding information. Modern cryptography intersects the disciplines of mathematics, computer science, and electrical engineering. Applications of cryptography include ATM cards, computer passwords, and electronic commerce. In this paper we want to have a short look at modern approaches in cryptography. So, terminology, history and types of modern cryptography will be talked here.
