Abstract :
ABSTRACT:A factorial experiment was conducted in randomized block design in seed and plant Improvement Institute, Karaj during 2008, 2009 and 2010, in order to investigate the effect of different amounts of nitrogen and amino acids on some of late ripening maize cultivars KSC700 and KSC704 and an early ripening cultivar KSC500. Nitrogen was considered in the three levels of 0, 115 and 230 kg ha, spraying amino acids was considered in three levels of 0, 4 and 5 liters per hectare. The effect of each of fertilizers on LAI, TDW, SLA, LAR and LWR showed increase rather than lack of fertilizer application. The effect of each of fertilizer and simultaneous use of fertilizer on LAI, TDW, SLA, LAR and LWR showed increase rather than lack of fertilizer application. But SLW increases with each of fertilizers and simultaneous use of them. the effect of cultivars on the LAI, LDW, SLA, LAR and LWR cultivar of KSC704 was more than two other KSC700 and KSC500 cultivars, so that these two cultivars ranked next but SLW is more in early ripening cultivar of KSC500 rather than two other cultivars, KSC700 and KSC704 were ranked next.
As the maximum of LAI, LDW, SLA, LAR and LWR in 230 kg N + 5 L of amino acids was obtained in hectare and maximum amount of SLW was obtained in lack of fertilizer(control).
