Study the factors related to violence against women in Kerman in 2010-11 (A case study: female employees in Shafa Hospital)

Violence against women is an old phenomenon with primary biological and mental factors which are related to physical power of men and subsequently their success-loving nature. The aim of this research is to study the factors related to violence against female employees working in Shafa Hospital in Kerman in 2010-11. The present research is of measurement type and its statistical universe includes all female employees of Shafa Hospital in Kerman (N=500); of them, 169 ones were selected. Data collection tools are questionnaires, interviews and observations. Reliability coefficient of the questionnaire was calculated using Chronbachʹs Alpha (0.87). To analyze findings, descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, and diagram) and inferential statistics (no-parametric statistics, Q2, Pearson, Regression and Variance Analysis) and software SPSS 20 were used. Results revealed that there was a significant relationship between spousesʹ age difference, husbandsʹ incomes, forced marriage, husbandsʹ addiction and violence learning and violence against women. However, no significant relationship was observed between husbandsʹ education, husbandsʹ jobs and spousesʹ family relations and violence against women.
