Abstract :
This survey aims to investigate the relation between career anchors and organizational socialization among general offices of sports and youth in North West of Iran. The present survey is descriptive and is also done according to correlation and field method. The study population consisted of all male and female employees of all agencies in sports and youth North West, using non-random sampling as a purposive sample of 263 individuals was selected as sample for the study. In order to collect data of this survey, two standard questionnaires of career anchors were used based on Schein model and organizational socialization was done according to Taormina model. Using Pearson correlation as well as multiple regression. so that the results indicate that there is a significant and positive relation between career anchors and its features (technical- functional competence, general managerial competence, organizational stability, entrepreneurial creativity, service or dedication to a cause, autonomy/dependence, lifestyle and pure challenge) with organizational socialization and its dimensions (training, understanding, coworker support and future prospects) (p < 0.01). General managerial competence and security/ stability can predict organizational Socialization in a positive and significant way. So, employees’ career anchors can play an effective role in facilitating their socialization
