  • Abstract
Geographical Information System (GIS) play a major role in all areas of health research, especially for the understanding of spatial variations concerning disease monitoring. The information produced by the spatial analysis could be modelled and displayed using maps. Spatial analysis (as an alternative statistical technique) may be used in order to suggest health patterns for describing the spreading of various diseases. Areas where GIS can be of benefit include the point mapping of patients and aggregated analyses within different geographical areas. In this work an Electronic Health Record (EHR) is combined with databases and GIS techniques aiming for the registration of epidemiological data. An efficient real time EHR environment is analysed, providing statistical analysis and graphical representation for disease monitoring. Moreover the whole analysis is describing an electronic system for the monitoring of accidents In this research paper is presented the methodological approach for the development of a real time electronic health record, for the statistical analysis of geographic information in order to identifying and analysing territorial data that is related with accidents. Finally, the accuracy of GIS data would be analysed based on geographic sensitivity measures. Geographic sensitivity analysis is implemented to discover to what degree the changes of the output map affect the geographic analysis of the spatial data.
