Abstract :
Green bean is an important plant that cultivated in all over the world. Also, salinity stress is a major factor which limiting plant growth and development. A study was conducted to categorize the morphological and biochemical traits which related to green bean pod yield based cluster analysis and stepwise regression procedure at different salt stress levels (0, 2.5, 5 and 7.5 dS/m). The results indicated that salinity significantly influenced the plant growth, morphological and biochemical traits. Finally, on the basis of two statistical procedure at high salt stress level, included traits i. e. chlorophyll a+b (biochemical trait), leaf area (morphological trait) and petiol number (traits related to petiol) showed significant impact on green bean pod yield, therefore these traits can be used for designing and selecting tolerant plants in future breeding programs.
