Abstract :
In order to study the effects of row spacing and sowing density on the weed density and yield of Rapeseed, cultivar " SLM0046", an experiment was conducted at Miandoab Agriculture Research Station in the Northwest of Iran during growing season of 2003/2004.The experiment was arranged as factorial spilt plot in CRB design with four replications which multiple of factor A (row spacing) in three level (20,25 and 35 cm) and factor B (sowing density) in three level (4,6 and 8 kg /ha) as main factor and factor C (weed control) in three level (no wedding , two hand weeding and three hand weeding) considered as sub factor .Analysis of variance results indicated that effect of row distance was significant at P= 5 % .Means comparison by Duncans multiple range test showed that row distance of 20 and 25 cm were placed in one group with the yield of 2422 and 2332 Kg/ha respectively and row distance of 35 cm with 1789 Kg/ha was placed in another group .The result also showed that the effect of row distance on the density of weeds of Crucifers and grasses were significant at P=5% and like the result of yield were placed in different groups. Main weeds at the site of trial were: Volunteer Wheat, Bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis), Flix weed (Descurainia Sophia), Henbit (Lamium sp) and Pick Purse (Capsella bursa –pastoris).
