Abstract :
ABSTRACT: Dry and semi-arid environments, along with other restrictions may be faced with the problem of salinity. Salinity is the most important stresses that reduce crop growth and yield of wheat is such. In order to Effect of salinity on germination and seedling growth of wheat (cv. Chamran), an experiment was conducted completely randomized design with three replications. Electric conductivity in this study: 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9 and 10.5 ds/m. studies traits including: germination percentage, germination rate, primary root length, primary stem length, plant height, and dry weight were measured. Result of analysis of variance showed that salinity had significant on all traits. The highest germination percentage, rate of germination, primary root length and primary stem length were obtained by 3 ds/m. All traits in this study decreased by 10.5 ds/m. With increasing of salinity decreased dry weight and plant height.
