Abstract :
ABSTRACT: Everyone knows the importance of medicinal plants in health status in general and the value of aromatic plants in particular. Variety of weather conditions and the age of using medicinal and aromatic plants in our popular culture have attracted a lot of researchers and research institutions in the development of knowledge and research in this area. Ferula Assa Feotida is a pharmaceutical plant from umbelliferae kind. This research was conducted in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad province through library information collection, interviews with experts and with field data collection in the region. Based on the results, current level of such wide ranges in the Eastern District like Tang Sorkh, Perlkyran and surrounding mountains, Ferula are found even in the 2800-1700 m elevation points and also in the southern and eastern slopes. Plant growth is from early spring to mid-summer. After the full development of the plant, in spring exploitable plants are being identified to extract their saps. In areas with a lot of ups and downs and in the steppes regions with low and relatively flat terrain on slopes 70-15 percent , more rainfall is found from 350 to 250 mm.
