Abstract :
ABSTRACT: This study was conducted selection lines experiment from five local land races eggplant that investigated in 5 province in Iran for yield preliminary comparison in Gharakheil research station in 2010 spring in a complete randomized block design with 3 replication with 36 selection lines eggplant that obtained. After transporting the eggplant seedling to main place and do agronomical studied characteristics . After harvesting and end of growth duration, data were analyzed and means were compared using Duncanʹs test . Results showed significant difference at levels %1 among yield of lines .The 23 line number was highest yield with 33.43 ton/ha. Then two lines 28 and 18 with 31.15 and 27.93 ton/ha had the highest. These two lines had high yield also had thin and narrow shape therefore had high marketing. Significant positive correlation was observed between number and weight of eggplant in a plant . Additional lines with number 18 and 28 , other lines with number 9 , 17 , 26 had good marketing quality. These 5 lines because of suitable quality shape fruit , have acceptable for introduce and using for adaptability programs
