Effects of Super nitro plus and bio super phosphate on relationships of morphological and biological traits of cress (Lepidium sativum L.)

ABSTRACT: Sustainable production in agriculture requires the use of biofertilizers with microbial origin. The pot experiments were conducted to evaluate the effect of two biofertilizers (Super nitro plus and bio super phosphate) on some morphological and physiological traits of cress (Lepidium sativum L.). The results of simple correlation coefficient revealed that number of leaf with chlorophyll b had a significant and positive correlation. A positive correlation was between leaf area with dry and fresh shoot weight in probability level of 1%. Referring to the results, fresh shoot weight had a positive significant correlation with the dry shoot weight. The results of stepwise regression analysis showed that number of leaf, shoot fresh weight, chlorophyll a and dry matter percentage had positive effect on dry shoot weight, Caretonoeid and ratio of chlorophyll b per total chlorophyll had a negative effect on dry shoot weight. Also the results of path analysis showed the greatest direct positive effect on the dry shoot weight was related to fresh shoot weight, dry matter percentage and chlorophyll a. Also there were indirect positive effect of chlorophyll a and caretonoeid through fresh shoot weight.
