Heterogeneous Baylis–Hillman using a polystyrene-bound 4-(N-benzyl-N-methylamino)pyridine as reusable catalyst

An insoluble Merrifield type resin having 4-aminopyridine units is a suitable and reusable heterogeneous catalyst for the Baylis–Hillman coupling of aromatic aldehydes and (alpha),(brta)unsaturated ketones.
