Abstract :
Abstract: The Caspian Sea is the largest lake in the world: The length of the lake extends approximately 320 km from Astara to Chaboksar and its width is about 70 km at the widest parts of Guilan province and 500 meters at the narrowest parts. Coasts have made the global action plan easier: The classification system and categorical identification for the main coastal margins can play a pivotal role in the development of and appropriate solutions for coastal areas. Today, scientists are trying to apply the procedural relationship between form and practice, as well as between time and space, to the most dynamic environments of the coasts. One of the most comprehensive classification systems is the Quardin method, the main criterion of which for classification is the effective processes in the morphology of coast, particularly the wave function. Also in this method, sea-level changes at present and in the past have been identified and the remaining effects are visible. Thus, the Quardin method is used in this study to classify the coasts of Guilan province.
