Clinical studies have found that insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia in hypertension are important co-factors. Thus, genetic factors influencing insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia a genetic basis are for prone to high blood pressure. The gene coding for PGC-1? in tissues with high metabolic activity, such as heart, liver and kidneys are produced and Interaction with estrogen and glucocorticoid receptors or detoxification of reactive oxygen leads to the regulation of blood pressure. PGC-1? contains of several polymorphisms: including IVS42 11T > C, Thr394Thra and Gly482Ser. This study aimed to investigate the frequency PGC-1? Gly482Ser polymorphism in blood pressure in both patients and control group. In this study, Triglycerides, blood sugar and cholesterol and measured their body mass index was calculated.
