Abstract :
This study was conducted to determine some physical and chemical properties of rosehip genotypes grown
wild in Hakkari region. The fifty marked rosehip genotypes were studied in 2005 and 2006. It was determined that
the mean fruit weights, fruit flesh ratios, soluble solid contents, PH, TEA, dry matter contents, vitamin C ratios, and
of these selected genotypes were ranged from 1.55 g to 3.92 g; from 59,33% to 76.69%; from % 14,25 to 27,50; from
% 3,17 to 4,04; from % 0,16 to 0,40; from % 43,63 to 59,39; from 414.83 mg 100 mg to 916.46 mg 100g, respectively.
It was also determined that the eleven, thirty-five and four of the selected genotypes had spines at high, medium, and low
levels, respectively.
