Study on some morphological characteristics of sugar beet varieties under drought stress in greenhouse

In order to investigation of morphological traits, a test was conducted in five sugar beet varieties under drought stress in the research greenhouse of Islamic Azad University, Ardabil in 2012. Thus, the factorial experimental design was used based on randomized complete block design with three replications. Factor A was in two conditions (drought and normal) and factor B consists of five sugar beet cultivars. Results showed that between the levels of stress and genotypes in terms of traits, plant height and leaf length and width were significantly different at the 1% level. Comparison results also show that genotypes 4 for all traits except number of leaves per plant had the highest value of the Class ‘A’ test.
