Silica sulfuric acid an eco-friendly and reusable catalyst for synthesis of amides via Ritter reaction

Silica sulfuric acid (SiO2-OSO3H) as an eco-friendly, readily available and reusable catalyst was applied for the synthesis of N-alkyl amides from nitriles and alcohols in Ritter reaction. This solvent free procedure is very simple with excellent yields and easy workup.
