Abstract :
Zirconium borohydride–piperazine(ZBPP) complex is a mild and highly efficient reagent for the direct reductive amination and reductive N-alkylation of amines. ZBPP is a nontoxic reagent with highly chemoselective and nonwater sensitive properties. The methodology can be applied to a variety of carbonyl compounds and amines.
