Abstract :
Novel electronic, optical and mechanical properties
[1] of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) have
provided great potential for different applications.
There are three main methods to fabricate carbon
nanotubes: arc discharge, laser ablation and chemical
vapor deposition (CVD). Alcohol catalytic CVD
(ACCVD) is a technique that is being intensively de-
veloped for the possibility of large-scale production of
high qualit single wall nanotubes (SWNTs) at low
cost. In this technique evaporated alcohols, methanol
and ethanol are being utilized over catalytic metal
particles.
