On Bernstein Polynomials for Compact Lie Groups,

We give the Bernstein polynomials for basic matrix entries of irreducible unitary representations of compact Lie groupSU(2). We also give an application to the analytic continuation of certain distributions onSU(2), and finally we briefly describe the Bernstein polynomial forB − × B-semi-invariant functions on a semisimple complex Lie group.
