Connections between Finite Dimensional Corepresentations of Uq(2) and SqU(2)

The square root of the quantum determinant of the quantum matrix space Mq(2) is introduced and investigated. All finite dimensional corepresentations of Uq(2) are described by the ones of SqU(2), and vice versa. Similar results for finite dimensional coalgebra morphisms are obtained.
