Abstract :
We improve some previous results due to Garcia, Stichtenoth and Xing (On subfields of the Hermitian function field, Compositio Math. 12 (2000) 137–170) concerning the genus of subfields of the Hermitian function field which are the fixed subfield of subgroups of the automorphism group.
