Abstract :

Complexation of the NOBIN-derived Schiff base ligand 1 with Pd(CH3CN)2Cl2 has been observed to result in a novel Pd–C bonding mode and theoretical calculations based on B3LYP density functional theory have been carried out to clarify the reaction mechanism.
