Ostracods as palaeoenvironmental indicators in the last 30 ky from the Tyrrhenian continental shelf

The palaeontological analysis of gravity cores from the shelf of Gaeta and Salerno Bays (Tyrrhenian Sea, Italy) allowed to collect numerous data on planktonic and benthonic communities of the Last Glacial–Holocene interval. This article makes some observations on the behaviour of ostracods with respect to temperature and comments on a limited renewal of associations in the Late Glacial.
