Abstract
Base hydrolysis of BiO(ClO4) yields ClO4- salts of the novel nonabismuth polyoxo cation Bi9((mu)3-O)8((mu)3-OH)65+(1); ethanolysis converts 1 to the ethoxide Bi9((mu)3-O)8((mu)3-OEt)65+(2).
