Abstract :
The 14th Biennial Conference of the Australian Human Development Association was held at the Function Centre of the Aquarium of Western Australia, Hillarys Boat Harbour, Perth. The three days of the conference were themed – Health, Education and Families respectively – with a keynote address on the theme starting each day. Invited keynote speakers were Associate Professor Rosemary Tannock from the University of Toronto, Canada, Professor Max Coltheart from Macquarie University, and Associate Professor Jan Pryor from Victoria University, New Zealand. In addition, Professor Bonnie Barber from Murdoch University presented an Invited Address. Delegates came from all over the Asia Pacific region and as usual, the papers reflected the multidisciplinary nature of the association, with psychologists, medical doctors, educationalists and other disciplines represented. Students were recognised for their research efforts and participation in the conference.
