CODETERMINANTS FOR THE SYMPLECTIC SCHUR ALGEBRA

Standard codeterminants for Donkin’s symplectic Schur algebra S(n, r) are defined. It is shown that they form a basis of S(n, r). They are then used to give a purely combinatorial proof that S(n, r) is quasi-hereditary.
