Abstract :
Arithmetical properties of some complex and p-adic values of the Rogers-Ramanujan continued fraction are studied. We use Hurvitz′ method, i.e., by iterating the functional equation of the series F(t) = ∑∞k = 0 (qk2/(q)k)tk we obtain an approximation formula connecting F(t) and F(qt).
