Abstract :
Boston [2] asked a question concerning the existence of unramifiedp-extensions, which is closely related to the Fontaine–Mazur conjecture. In this paper we produce some sufficient conditions for the answer to Bostonʹs question to be affirmative. This implies, as a special case, the answer to Bostonʹs question forKandpis affirmative whenpandlare distinct odd primes such that the order ofp mod lis even andKis an abelianl-extension overQ.
