Mean Values ofL-Functions over Function Fields Original Research Article

In this paper, we find the average value of the quadratic twists of automorphicL-functions over a function field. The main tools used are the theory of metaplectic forms and the Rankin–Selberg method. A new sieve technique has been developed to compute the average value of the square free twists of the automorphicL-functions.
