Abstract :
In the present work, a series of reactions between ethylenediamine and triethylenetetramine with different types of fatty acids were conducted to form various synthesized complexes. The surface-active properties of the synthesized surfactants including interfacial tension were studied. Petroleum-collecting and dispersing properties of the synthesized complexes in diluted and undiluted form in waters of varying salinity have been studied. The structures of synthesized complexes were confirmed by FTIR, C13 and 1H-NMR spectra. The effect of the length of fatty chain on the petroleum and surface-active properties were studied as well.
