Correcting misconceptions about pain assessment and use of opioid analgesics: Educational strategies aimed at public concerns

Non-nursing college studentsʹ decisions about pain assessment and use of opioids compared with decisions of practicing nurses strongly suggests that students enrolling in nursing programs already possess many misconceptions about pain management that need to be addressed before education is provided about pain management.
