Occurrence of organotin compounds in water and biota from alexandria harbours

Tributyltin (TBT) and its degradation products, mono- (MBT) and dibutyltin (DBT) have been determined in the dissolved and particulate phases of seawater as well as biota collected in the western and eastern harbours. The highest levels were found in seawater of dry dock of the western harbour. Triphenyl- (TPhT) and diphenyltin (DPhT) were also idenified. Concentration ratios between TBT/ DBT and TPhT/ DPhT in all environmental samples were calculated.
