Abstract :
Henryʹs Law constants have been measured for a suite of naturally-occurring halogenated methanes (CH3Cl, CH3I, CH2Br2, CHBr2Cl, CHBrCl2, CHBr3, CH2I2 and CH2ClI) in seawater. The procedure involved equilibrating a gas stream with a temperature-controlled column of seawater containing the compounds of interest at nanomolar concentrations. Temperature dependencies of the constants are reported between 0 and 20°C.
