Abstract :
Soils spiked with Pyrene and Hexachlorobenzene were ground with silica gel to result a homogeneous powder. This was used as solid phase of a Middel Pressure Liquid Chromatography system. Solvents and solvent mixtures of different polarity were used as mobile phase. Optimisation of the liquid phase results in the successive elution of the contaminats. The recovery rates are good to excellent.
