Organochlorine pesticides and polychlorinated biphenyls in the ecosystem of the baltic sea

On the basis of the determinations of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) and organochlorine pesticides content in the organisms of herring and seal in the Riga Bay it is concluded that a thorough study of the paths of emission of these pollutants into the bay, particularly by atmospheric transport, should be carried out.
