Some persistent organic pollutants and heavy metals in the atmosphere over a St. Lawrence River valley site (villeroy) in 1992

This paper presents a year of data on certain persistent organic pollutants and heavy metals in the atmosphere over a St.Lawrence River valley site (Villeroy) in 1992. These results are compared with other sites in North America: most of the concentration levels found here are characteristic of a rural site. The specific behaviours of certain species are presented and discussed with regard to physical and chemical laws as well as with the potential source and transport in the atmospheric compartment of the environment.
