Abstract
1,2,4,5-Tetrachlorobenzene (TeCB) and Tetrachloroguaiacol (TeCG) were used to investigate their sublethal effects on the haematology, plasma sodium level, muscle moisture and Na+/K+-ATPase activity in gill and kidney of adult rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) in freshwater and during sea water transfer. The sensitivity of the physiological parameters measured were compared between two species and the possibility of using them as biomarkers was discussed.
