Abstract :
The photochemical behavior of musk ambrette was investigated in cyclohexene, in squalene and on cellulose stearate layers. Apart from nitroso and amino derivatives of musk ambrette, photoproducts arising from intramolecular cyclization, ring expansion and condensation were also characterized. The reaction mechanisms were proposed.
