Abstract :
Background: Identity is one of the important and challenging issues that people face it during their
lifetime and a large number of the thinkers are engaged with it in a way or another. Objective: The
objective of this study is to review the relation between different identity styles and the meaning of life
among the students of Humanities and Engineering courses. Method : 116 people at Bachelor’s level of
Islamic Azad University were selected randomly. They were assessed using questionnaires for their
objective in life and identity status. Findings: The results showed that there is no meaningful relation
between identity status and meaning of life in the students of Engineering courses Also there was a
meaningful difference between the two groups of students of Humanities and Engineering courses as far
as late and advanced identity was concerned. Conclusion some researches confirm the results.
