Abstract :
The main objective of the present paper was to predict the organizational commitment level based on the
employeesʹ job characteristics and job roles. The research methodology was based on the correlational
studies. Statistical population consisted of all the employees of central organization of the Islamic Azad
University, and the sample (N=293) was selected using stratified random sampling with disproportionate
size. Research tools consisted of job characteristic and roles questionnaire and organizational
commitment questionnaire. Analysis showed that the variables of job characteristic and roles can predict
organizational commitment (P < 0.01).
