A new attrition test for granules containing bio materials

A new method for measuring granule impact strength is proposed. Damage to the granules IS measured as a function impact velocity and number of repetitions. The obtained data yield a highly reproducible means for characterising granule wear and fragmentation. A wide range of enzyme granules in thc size range from O~ to 1.0 mm was tested.
