Evaluation of land consolidation projects (LCPs): A multidisciplinary approach

This paper presents a general evaluation framework of land consolidation projects (LCPs), based on Flemish and Portuguese case studies. The changes in land use are estimated first. Next, the economic and non-economic effects are determined using appropriate simulation models. Simulation models that estimate the effects on farmersʹ income for both arable and dairy regions are described with, respectively, a Portuguese and Flemish application.
