Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to determine the relationships between cultural dimensions (traits), the strength of organisational culture and real-estate professionals’ perceived job satisfaction. A questionnaire survey was prepared for data collection from real-estate professional firms in Hong Kong. Reliability of the cultural dimension scales and job satisfaction scale was checked by Cronbach’s alpha coefficients. Hypothesised relationships between each cultural dimension and job satisfaction were examined by correlation analysis. The major findings indicate that job satisfaction can be enhanced by strong organisational cultures that are (1) people-oriented (2) team-oriented and (3) supportive and emphasise free flow of information; i.e. organisational culture which fosters sentience
